Okinawan Dojo Karate was established in 1998, Sensei Stanley Crump (7th-degree black belt) Owner of Okinawan is a repeat Heavyweight World Champion in Kumite and has been featured in various media, including Sports Illustrated, Men’s Health, ESPN’s SportsCenter, and Real Housewives of Potomac.
Their Howard County center was voted #1 Martial Arts School (and Runner Up for Best Childcare) in 2020, and 2021.
* OKD has grown to more than 450 active student members and collaborates on community partnerships with schools in Howard County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City.
* OKD provides mentorship programming (S’MOVE) to more than 250 area elementary and middle schools each year.
* OKD operates a vibrant after-school transportation program that is vital to families.
